Dragon Boat Race 2026 – Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity

Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity is launching its Dragon Boat Race on the canal next to The Mailbox in central Birmingham. Teams of 17 people, made up of 16 rowers and one drummer, take part in a minimum of three races of 200 metres each, with the winning crew awarded the Dragon Trophy. No prior experience is required: the charity's delivery partner Dragon Boat Events briefs all teams on the day and supports them through the heats. Registration costs £385 per boat, and the team captain receives a password to share with the rest of the crew so members can claim their places. The event runs across two days, 17 and 18 September 2026.
